Course Descriptions
Spanish 8: The students will begin to acquire introductory Spanish skills in order to develop the skills need to study a second language. The focus of this level is to give the students a solid foundation of Spanish skills with an emphasis on communication in addition to comprehension, reading and writing in order to prepare them for high school level Spanish. The students will also be exposed to Spanish culture and civilization.
Spanish I: The students will acquire beginning to intermediate Spanish skills in order to continue to develop the skills needed in studying a second language. The students will be exposed to Spanish culture and civilization as well as be introduced to the advanced Spanish language skills with an emphasis on communication in addition to comprehension, reading and writing, building upon their beginning knowledge of the language.
Spanish II: The students will acquire intermediate Spanish skills in order to continue to develop the skills needed in studying a second language. The students will be exposed to Spanish culture and civilization as well as be introduced to the advanced Spanish language skills with an emphasis on communication in addition to comprehension, reading and writing, building upon their previous knowledge of the language.
Spanish III: The students will acquire intermediate to advanced Spanish skills in order to continue to develop the skills needed in studying a second language. The students will be exposed to Spanish culture and civilization as well as continue advanced Spanish language skills with an empahsis on communication in addition to comprehension, reading and writing, building upon their beginning knowledge of the language.
